ABOUT BORING BAG LADY
Boring Bag Lady was born from a lifelong dream of owning a sewing and embroidery business. My passion for sewing began as a teenager when I loved creating my own clothes, bags, and accessories. I designed and crafted outfits for friends and family, all the while envisioning a future where I could handcraft not just one-of-a-kind, high-quality bags but also pieces that could complete an entire wardrobe for day or evening wear.
After the loss of my husband of 46 years, I found myself at a crossroads and decided it was time to pursue the dream I had nurtured for so long. Moving to the charming town of Boring, Oregon, felt like the perfect place to start this new chapter. Armed with an embroidery machine and a newly purchased commercial machine to handle heavier fabrics, I was ready to turn my vision into reality. The name "Boring Bag Lady" was a playful nod to both my new home in the quaint, scenic town of Boring and my journey as a woman starting fresh. Though the town itself may be small enough to drive through in under a minute, its beauty and tranquility provide endless inspiration.
